Who she is. The Lady Builder

The Woman in the Hard Hat, Erica Alexis

Erica realized she also loved construction on Labor Day in 2015, when she started her first labor project under Hardens Construction.

Since 2015, Alexis has developed several commercial and residential projects in Texas, Detroit, and Los Angeles with plans to expand to other states while exploring global opportunities. Bridgeline recently increased its commercial portfolio with emphasis on establishing the reputation as the leading vertical builder to enhance community needs and resources through urban development.

As a developer-builder, Erica “Lady Builder” Alexis believes in building teams that love what they do and take pride in providing excellent quality deliverables to the end client. Her core team has been with her since 2015 which shows her commitment to preserving long term business relationships. Her credo in becoming a true partner to the end client by providing “whatever is needed to get the job done,” from finance to completion, is what has taken the construction industry by storm.

Erica “The Lady Builder” Alexis is a B-licensed general contractor, UCLA graduate, and commercial real estate developer.

How it began. History

A street in Nashville, TN carries the name of the Dennis family, a family legacy of crafstmanship passed down through generations; a baton finally passed to great-granddaughter Erica Alexis.

Dennis was the father of seven children, all of whom excelled in various trades that developed into a thriving construction company.

Now known as Bridgeline, the company still abides by the Dennis mission of excellence.

Bridgeline Development and Construction is on its way to becoming the top builder in Los Angeles and an international builder of vertical projects overseas.

Bridgeline has now become a million dollar company exceeding 10+ projects per year.

"I started with a vision in 2015 to become the best vertical builder in the industry.

I remember when getting my contractors license was my biggest feat. It's amazing who I became with a license. I did not know I would have to change my entire being to endure all that my title entails.

I started with a contract - no guys, no license, and 40k in my savings with the tenacity to start on my own after a previous business partnership wiped me out of 250k and left me living on my friends couches to rebuild from failure.

I took a moment the other day at this hillside project to not only reflect and acknowledge how far I've come but to remember where I'm going. I now have a team, a license and an outstanding resume only a few years later. The bank now says I have the capacity and qualifications for large scale vertical projects.

The next 5 years will be exciting seeing how what started from nothing has launched into a successful, international company that builds residential, commercial, industrial infrastructure and development.

I love the good the bad the impossible to possible and most importantly I love all of you who stand behind the brand.... I won't let us down.

Only up from here. Bridgeline to the finish line."
