Tamara McLaughlin, founder of Tamara Marie Designs began her career as a Director of Sales & Marketing at the most well-known hotels in Beverly Hills, Hollywood and the Westside of Los Angeles, California. These included major hotel brands such as Marriott & Hilton Hotels. In addition, boutique luxury hotels such as the Roosevelt, Sofitel Beverly Hills and Shutters on the Beach. Tamara’s expertise in developing high impact marketing strategies and proactive sales teams, gained her multiple awards and accolades in the industry. These multi-faceted lifestyle brands supported environments of expressive design. The goal, to create memorable experiences.
While she has had a lifelong passion for the decorative arts, at the peak of her years of success in the hospitality industry, she realized it was time to commit to the pursuit of her true passion, designing and remodeling beautiful spaces. Her journey in the discovery of materials, colors and textures became instinctual as she began to design for others.
She Builds
Erica Alexis began her career in hospitality revenue management, where she developed a sharp eye for operations, design, and strategy. Inspired by the rapid growth of hospitality across Africa, she felt an urgency to shift from theory to action—channeling her passion into building. Erica is far more than just the face of the brand; she immersed herself in the trades, learning every facet of construction to ensure her team could deliver on projects of any scale with confidence and precision. Driven by a long-held vision to build hotels, she partnered with Tamara Marie Designs to infuse every project—residential, commercial, or hospitality—with the same level of curated excellence and intentional design.
This dynamic duo has produced artistry from craftsmen to spanish style to modern and beyond.
